I was born and raised in the Washington DC area and have always followed local sports. Since we did not have a local baseball team when I was growing up, I would cheer for the Orioles. My favorite baseball player is Cal Ripken Jr. My dad is from Boston, so I also cheered for the Red Sox. I stayed up every night to see them win the World Series in 2004! But now, we have our own team, so my husband and I have been season ticket holders since the opening season in 2005, and we try to go to as many games as we can! When we don't make it downtown for a game, we usually follow along on the radio in the car or watch it at home.
